Sometimes The Idiot Is Me, Sometimes Not!
So cool beans, they were replacing the pipes! Better water pressure and less down times I hope!
Later that same day we went to the local Wal Mart subsidiary to pick up cat food and milk. On the way back it started raining, turning all that dirt into a river of mud. Yep, the car got stuck, fast stuck in the soupy mud. Meaning mud got all in the car, on the car and in the house were we tracked it in after having to lay out money to have our car towed from the mud. Got it?
Thursday I was starting to freak out a little bit because we're supposed to go on a vacation on Sunday. I'm cleaning mud out of the house, scrubbing, mopping, etc, and starting to freak over the usual vacation things I needed to do like preparing food to bring and clothing. We're going to Arenal (cooler than here), San Jose (cooler) and Copey de Dota (downright cold! 55F right now!) meaning two different sets of clothing need to be fished out of storage. I needed to wash clothing to have clean underwear and ten thousand other tasks. It would have been tight, but I could have done it. Then husband says to me that I have the wrong dates, it's next Sunday, relax. So I did, I did not do all the stuff I do for vacation.
This morning he turns to me and says "Hey, you'll be ready to leave for our trip in three hours when church is over, right?" and I flipped out on him hearing this. He'd insisted so hard earlier in the week that I had the wrong dates for the vacation.
I don't know what I am going to do considering there's no way I'm going to be ready! I told Jim off this morning as he was trying to get me to praise him for washing the mud off the outside of the car. Great, but the inside of the car is still freaking very muddy and I'm supposed to ride in that for five hours? Plus I have been warning him all week about the flooding in all three of those places, so I don't know if we can even get anywhere near these places.
He was so upset I didn't praise him for rinsing off the car!
Starting to think that Jim is developing some form of dementia. There are troubling signs lately I cannot ignore. His insistence that I had the dates wrong on this trip, his lack of understanding on priority of tasks, and many other things. He is nearly 73, and insisting that he is still of sound mind while he routinely gets flustered doing simple things. Part of me wonders if it's the medicines he's still taking to try and regain function messing with his mind. I don't care about that part working or not. But here I am googling up side effects on his meds trying to figure out if this is dementia, or medicines. Whatever it is it's stressing me out.
