Pro Bono or Dono (Donations)

We're doing the usual errands and crazy retired coastal living there per usual, but this everything I had a depressing encounter. I was in a live stream of another YouTube creator I watch, and got to see white male privilege ride again.

He's a "reactor" and covers a few folks I sometimes watch when I feel the need to view a circus freakshow. That's not the problem, what the problem is happen to be his ridiculous over the top ideas, such as being disabled means you cannot fly internationally and other just very wrong ideas. He's not even open to having a discussion on something when he gets it horribly wrong.

Tonight he did it again, which was too bad because I was initially enjoying the silliness of the stream. In the comments there were funny discussions about things like the Ronco Pocket Fisherman, Chia Pets and Shakeweights among other items. I was laughing along.

The conversation took a hard right turn into misinformed white man overconfident in his opinions territory when he started to mention one of the freakshow members talking of suing another creator they claimed defamed them. YouTuber kept saying that the freakshow member would sure enough be able to find a lawyer to take the case pro bono since the freakshower was broken. I chimed in that's not how defamation per se works, none of what he was saying was true.

How do I know? Look at the many and manifold defamation lawsuits against on Katie Joy! He kept claiming that lawyers took cases like this pro bono for the dono privilege of "for the exposure." Sir, not at all how defamation per se works. Explained how I knew in detail and he still persisted in his ideas being right, even making claims about how reputational damages are calculated in the most untruthful manner.

Saints preserve and save us from the o'rweening undeserved self-confidence and ego of basic middle class white dudes. Women tend to second guess ourselves, but not guys like this.

Once I realized that the information was as welcome as a big fart at the Thanksgiving table I made my departure. I believe I'll stop subscribing to the channel as well as I've seen him be wrong so many times without any effort to correct his own opinions once his information has been proven to be shoddy.
