I'm (Not) With Stupid

For the past three days I've spent very limited time on social media, a few minutes here or there talking to family members and good real life friends. Why? I realized I was getting so caught up in the whole insane movable feast of a conniption fit that is Without a Moral Compass, and the attempted hack of my husband was just a fridge too far. Add in the sheer stupidity I keep seeing on the fan boards for the show pictured above, "Love After Lockup" and there's lots of good mental health reasons to back away for a few days.

I'm not perfect. I'm not super smart. But I do know when I need to take a mental health holiday and back away from the weasels carrying the dull steak knives for my own good. I've started to get a bit better at that now.

Sprinkle with a little miserably sick fighting off lung crud with a soupcon of everything has effing broken, stereo, car, gate, and trying to find the right post work balance in the very unbalanced time of Covid.

What I have done while our car has been fixed, the gate examined and the stereo is in the shop is look at options. My options. For the Covid vaccination.

I am pro vaccination. I always have been, and I always will be. I believe in science. To quote Jesse Pinkman "Science, bitches!" Even after having a life threatening reaction to the shingles vaccine some years back. I've been eagerly awaiting the Covid one. I was initially scheduled to get it at the clinic in three weeks. Now I'm not so sure that's what I'll be doing after all.

I am still pro vaccination, but I'm also pro knowing your illness, your body, and making informed decisions. After reading through all of the materials about the vaccinations from the manufacturers and places like the CDC I'm going to wait until I can either get the Moderna vaccine, or the coming Astra Zenica one. Why? Protein spikes and full mRNA.

These new vaccinations share a lot in common with the the DNA recombiant biologics that sometimes don't work well for everyone, that carry side effects. Please, vaccination everyone in the health care field and the seniors plus high risk folks. I'll be sitting over here wearing my mask waiting until a better vaccine with more data is available for me.

The ones being shipped here to C.R. right now are the Pfiser ones. The Pfiser vaccine is the full mRNA vaccine, not the mere spikes, but the whole enchilada. The FDA has information that a certain number of folks with screwed up immune systems are getting Bell's Palsy and virus activation syndrome. Not everyone, and only those like me, with issues involving their immune systems. I'm going to pass on the Pfiser vaccine and wait for one of the other ones containing the modified spikes only. They are a little less effective than the Pfiser one, but I don't need to risk another bad vaccination reaction. That Shingles one happened with the earlier less safe vaccine. See why I'm waiting this time?
