Sayin' Don't Make it So - Here's What Hacking Attempt Emails Look Like

 

And here we are again. Last night I got over a hundred emails in my spam filter. This is my old email box that is connected to No Longer Quivering, and nothing else. I have filters in it that send different types of emails into differing folders. The spam filter catches anything that seems squishy.

I would rarely get much in it during my time at No Longer Quivering, the occasion "Dear Friend, I am the wife of General Ngbogo of the Nigerian Army and he has left me millions of dollars I will share with you, kind friend." I checked the filter every time I accessed the box, but besides the few Nigerian come ons there was rarely anything in it.

That all changed once I started speaking out against Without a Crystal Ball's Katie Joy Paulson. Suddenly I started reaching a flood of spam emails. Being signed up for magazines, insurance quotes, shipping notices for free marijuana gummies and other goods and services. And oh boy, porn, porn, porn and more porn.

I feel sorry for the lady that bought my house in the States because whoever is doing this is likely sending these things to my former address. But I laugh, it's all so middle school esque, childish, petty harassment, even if it is illegal.

Those I laugh and delete. But there are just as many if not more ones that try to lure me into clicking on some button or downloading some document that are malicious. Either to hijack your computer and hack your files, or trying to send you a virus in an attachment. These are a bit more serious. I delete these too, but today I did a few screen caps to illustrate what you need to avoid, what is only someone trying to hack you.

I get these "We've got an educational grant for you" emails frequently. Don't open! Scanning the attachments they are always laden with viruses. Don't fall for it! I have degrees, I've gotten all the higher education I could use already. I haven't been applying to go back to school. Typical hacker trick.

Unsolicited files from unknown folks? Not suspicious at all /sarcasm. Also virus laden to screw up your computer. Do not open. What's with the freaking water drops?

Here's a hint. UPS does not sent out emails like this. They have the logo, legitimate contact email information, and other signifiers of legitimacy.




4u7lpulcro8qlar.org.uk is not a server connected with UPS in any way, shape or form. I've gotten hundreds of these, seeking to get my delivery address. UPS already has my real delivery address already for the States and here. They are not based in the UK. This is another clumsy hack attempt.

Nope, another document laden with more viruses than the entire case of "Love After Lockup" Gawd, I miss random shopping! Cannot wait until my annual U.S. trip. I need shopping and new underwear.

So now you know what hacking attempts via emails looks like. Emily D. Baker did a video on Instagram about cyber safety. I'm trying to add to that knowledge with these screen shots. 

So who is behind all this twaddle? I don't know for sure, but I feel it is likely linked to Katie Joy. Every single time I do a video and mention anything about her this garbage floods in. In between those times I get little or none. There is a causal link I believe. This is an attempt to try and intimidate me to get off line and not to speak to Tati Westbrook's lawyer Michael Saltz, and it is a complete failure. I will answer whatever Saltz asks me truthfully and share what documents I have.  I just hit "Delete". 

This seems very close to some of the things Lori Ann has said KJ has asked her supporters to do.

Bottomless Betty and Blocking the Aunt Heap

  The Chesapeake Bay Bridge last weekend. So where have I been? Back to Louisiana and then up to Maryland. I wanted to check on my mother in her assisted living. It didn't go well at all, even if I stayed ten days. One of my aunts in the Aunt Heap nicknamed my mother 'Bottomless Betty' after she suddenly developed the inability to wear bottoms at all, no pants, no panties, no skirts. It was most bizarre and had a sudden onset. Her dementia has gone haywire in the few months she's been in assisted living. I'm not entirely sure she knew who I was either. This was a shock, her mental status slid so fast it was scary. Did what I could, talked to the folks in the admin office seeking a way to help her. My mother's doctor had tried a drug to slow the dementia but all it did was cause my mother to hallucinate.   Got home on Tuesday night, taking that long airplane ride from Washington, DC to my home near Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Strange Days and Orchids

Water feature from the Orchid Garden near San Jose. Well, it's been a strange week or two. I've lost days to this silly ankle thing. Took off the boot at a week to start doing physical therapy movements, made it two days and now the boot is back on and I'm down to two pain pills. It's healing so slowly this time. Have to do a medical follow up this week. Several days ago we went to a party for a lady we know who is throwing in the towel and going home to the U.S.A. Katie was trying to do that thing that is impossible here on the Gold Coast -- live as a gringo without a steady monthly income. Even a social security pension will not cut it here. It's expensive, but likely not as expensive as life in the U.S.A. is getting lately. Read that there has been a 40% jump in the price of vegetables and fruits last month. Deporting the folks that do all the grunt work there was one very bad idea mixed with those insano tariffs. We have high tariffs here and it inhibits the amo...
