Ahoy, It's Davey Jone's Locker and Hijinks of Financial Exploitation!

Last few days, man, last few days.

Quick updates - Velma and everyone else has been trying to borrow money from us. Not insignificant sums either. Velma is confused about her finances, unable to remember her online banking password. I think it's likely on Monday we're about to run her to her bank, have them log her in, get a print out and go from there trying to straight out her banking and figure out what her budget is. I swear, I'm pretty sure she has significant dementia.

Super Christian Davey Jones of the moping, pouting and volunteering us to pay for Velma's surgery has told Jim he needs rides back to Liberia, but he wants me forbidden to ride with them. Jim said no. Sorry buddy, my name is also on the car, it's not happening. You are going to a place where there's always something on my shopping list I must have. He even offered Jim fifty bucks for the manly man solo ride instead of with the evil harpy that is I. Muuuhahaha.

Jim got a lecture on Titus 2. Oh joy! Submission did not work when we tried it, we were both miserable.

I don't care about any of this. Davey Jones is awful, but typically cannot see the dozen or so times we've taken him to the big city for free, paid for his lunch, etc would make me cranky as hell. Jim thinks he's scared of me now. He's lucky he didn't get the pot roast upside of the head.

Several days ago my Bernina sewing machine turned into the world's most expensive paperweight when it died. I did finally find a Bernina dealer here with an authorized repair shop. It's pretty old, so I'm pretty sure it's going to be a very costly repair. I might do better just replacing it. Next time we're in San Jose I'm lugging this heavy monster into the shop.

But fear not! I have more than one machine, and it's back to my old workhorse Singer. Quilting hard right now trying to finish up a pile of projects. I'm trying to clear out my supplies and finish all partial projects in my studio right now. Which is how I am staying sane in the face of everyone trying to work us like a a gumball machine filled with hundred dollar bills. That part is maddening.

Stinky is still terrified of Billy Joel. Billy Joel has managed to crank out a series of custom bookshelves we wanted, he repainted the roof, and rewired the electrical panel. We've needed to put in more breakers and run a few more 220 lines. It had gotten that you knew if you ran the dryer and showered at the same time that the breaker would trip. It's fixed along with a million other tasks. Billy's a dynamo!
